U.S. Becomes Leading EU Trade Partner, Surpassing China and Russia

The U.S. share of total EU trade rose from 14.7% in 2021 to 17.3% by August 2024 (TTM). In contrast, China’s share declined from 16.2% to 14.4%, and Russia’s share fell significantly from 5.9% to 1.4% over the same period. This shift underscores the U.S.’s growing dominance in EU trade dynamics.
