Comparing Market Capitalization of Leading U.S. Stocks to Major Global Markets
In August 2024, the combined market capitalization of the top 10 U.S. stocks reached $18.1 trillion. The U.S. top 10 exceeded the European Union by $11.3 trillion, China by $11.1 trillion, Japan by $6.7 trillion, and India by $5.5 trillion. Apple's $3.5 trillion market cap alone was larger than the entire stock markets of France, Canada, and the U.K. Meanwhile, Microsoft at $3.1 trillion and Nvidia at $2.9 trillion surpassed Switzerland, Germany, and Taiwan.
